I know, there are only so many things I can do with this timeline, but I am adding in world events simply because I did this for a class I teach and it could be useful. I could also add in the lines, but tbh, it’s time consuming and I’m lazy. A caveat on this timeline is the obvious – it’s a limited viewpoint of Western (UK and USA) events. I understand that there was a LOT going on around the world, but this is a small selection of events to give some context to the growth of social media. You can see the original 2021 timeline here.
