It’s that time of year again. I’ve updated the Social Media Timeline to include the (one) that has cropped up, though, to be honest I have no idea what the point of Vero is, but I do have it.
Another thing to consider in this timeline is the lack of non-western social media platforms. I admit this is only due to my interest in researching the communities in digitally social spaces (how they write, issues around gender, and power dynamics), and I should really add them in. Maybe I will in the next iteration. However, I have also consciously not included the dark social platforms such WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.
I’ve now made the emails to this site pop through more noticeably, so I will be much better at getting back in touch. And, as always, if you want a higher res version of this image, drop me a line. I’m happy for it to be used with attribution.
